Looking for Amasa Whittemore

I have been searching for Amasa Whittemore for years. I found him in the Lewis school census with 8 children in 1864.
From old newspapers, I have found two sons Willard and Alfred.
I also have a Sally Whittemore who married John Hood from Lewis. I am not sure if Sally was Alfred's sister or daughter. Sally& John Hood had several children Tom, Fred Mary ???
According to the census Amasa was a brother of my ggggrandfather,
Daniel Whittemore.
