Reidys of County Clare, Migrated to Australia

Journal by Siggyg

I am hoping there is someone out there who is also looking for the Reidys of Kilmihil, County Clare, Ireland.

My GGrandfather, Thomas Reidy, came to Australia in the 1870s we believe, and settled in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. We know one brother came here as well, Daniel, but the others are a bit of a mystery.

His parents were James Reidy and Mary Houlihan of Kilmihil.

My mother was a Reidy, and the Irish are so hard to research. I have so much on my Dad's family and on my husband's that I am looking for some luck of the Irish!

I am researching Rebecca Reidy who married Michael Noonan. They migrated to Vict. from County Clare in 1841 with
Michael, Ann and Patrick. Patrick's Baptism shows John Noonan and Mary Ready as Sponsors. Rosashley
