Kearney family London
Researching my family Kearney
John Seymour Kearney B circa 1847 Ireland; father Thomas Kearney musician who as far as I can tell never came to England.
Married Emma Payne 1877 in Wandsworth registry office. Emma P B 1855 Hinckley.
Had four children: Seymour George K B 1880
John Henry B 1882
Walter B 1886
Emma B 1888
Subsequent events strongly catholic; so why marry in a registry office which was in itself unusual then?
Wife left back in Ireland?
Any information welcome
Mike Kearney

The reason for the reg office could be one was catholic and the other protestant.
