Knill of South Devon England

Journal by Ericwilliam

I am from Newfoundland Canada but back when my story starts Newfoundland was a colony of
Great Briton. Newfoundland did not join Canada until 1949 so we have a lot of history pre Canada.

On January 8,1784 Humphrey and Mary Knill had 5 children Baptized on the same day at Harbor Grace.
Joseph, Richard, Humphrey, Joanna, Elizabeth. This is the only record of a Knill line in Newfoundlaand.
Joseph was my GGG Grandfather.
In 2012 I had my YDNA test done(67) trough Family Tree DNA.
This test connected me with the Knill family of Exeter Devon England.
We have a paper trail back to 1640 Henrie Nill Bishopsteignton, Devon, England.
My problem is 2 fold.
1. Although I do have a YDNA match to Henrie I do not have a paper trail.
(If you would like more information I would be happy to share.)

2. We are pretty sure the Knill family migrated from north Devon but we do not have that connection.

Any information would be great.
God Bless
Eric Neil (Knill)
