David Caldwell Link married Mahala Poovey in NC. They had Eveline Clarissa Link who married Robert Asbury Crisp and had James Henry S.Crisp my grandfather. He later changed his last name to Estes when he left NC and went to Tn. He married Etta Ann Sumpter in NC had 4 children before moving to Tn.They had a total of 13 children. The last one, my dad, was born in Washington Co., Holsten, Va. They then move to Radford, Va and settled here.

I am trying to find out about the LINKS, CRISP AND POOVEYS and why my grandfather James Henry S. Crisp (Estes) left NC and changed his name.
