Comments
My grandparents married in Karachi in 1911--He was Herbert Stanley LONG born 1884 & she was Ivy Hope Griffiths born 1992. His father is given as Carpetwhite LONG on the marriage records but it is believed that that should be 'Carapiet' which may be Armenian--so he may have changed his surname to sound more 'English' to Long. I'm mystified & really up
against a brick wall!! You should be able to see their other details on my tree. I would love you to find the info that's so lacking for so many years to give me a kick start regarding my g. grandfather. Are you related this these wonderful people.
Sorry not related to this family smallishbonnie.
If you were to include a few more details in another journal someone may be able to assist you with your brick wall. It does not hurt to try.
Good luck.
