His parents names should be on his Death Certificate.

yes that is so--- but these are my grandchildren on my ex-son-in -law's side. So I am not going to spend money to apply for certificates. The family are estranged from us on that side but the young ones are entitled to know but not from a no connection to them grandmas cost. Sounds harsh I guess but it was only a casual interest for them . .they have no way of getting a birth certificate either.
Maybe they will never know.
