I am trying to find my Australian family-I only have 2 pieces of information 1 that there was an ALAN(my Grandad was named after him) and 2 that one of them was an Opera singer.

Family Mystery
My Grandad Alan was always told that his Grandad Isaac died in testate and that a family row ensued which led the elder Children to emigrate. They were undertakers on the Bath Road, Bristol. My Great Uncle Joe lived in the same house until he died in 1992 aged 95. Unfortunately his nurse got him to change his will a week before he died and all the family information was lost! She would not let us have anything, my mum had to even buy a vase that was promised to her by her Aunt-enough of that I am only a little bit upset that my family history was lost!
Anyway at the time of the 1911 census the family were living on The Bath Road but were not undertakers. Isaac died in 1929 so they had to have started the business somewhere between those dates. The older children except Samuel must have emigrated sometime after 1929. It has been said that some of the children ended up with all the money, which is why they all fell out! They did, indeed own 13 houses on the Bath Road as well as various shops around the area!
I would love to hear from anyone who knows of this family or is a relative. We only kept in contact with the Family who moved to Vancouver. It is 2011 now and my grandad is still alive-he would be so pleased to find the Australian family.
