I am searching for any information on my 3gt grandfather William. He was transported to Australia on the Hillsborough arriving NSW 1799.

His trial shows him to have come from Southwark in Surrey and as the first reference is MORE presume rightly or wrongly at this stage that this was his birth name.(having trouble proving this) His transportation records show the alias MONEY alias MOREY.

On the Hillsborough records he is shown as MOREY but also as MONEY as he is on some of the convict records in Australia.

Once in Sydney he appears to have had three 'marriages', one to Anne BLAKE ex Experiment 1804, Anna Marie INMAN (can't seem to prove if she was a convict or not) this was a registered NSW marriage. Then it appears later he 'married' someone by the name of Jane - no surname shown.

He had a daughter Mary Ann MOREY but when a son William was born he was again using the name MONEY.
After his arrival records show him as a Constable (with the cross reference to the ship Hillsborough). Again some records are MOREY some MONEY
I would be thrilled if anyone could throw any light on this for me please, and would be delighted to find some other descendants.
