Looking for Barker family of Yorkshire England
I am looking for the Barkers of Yorkshire England. William Barker born about 1822 married Sarah Nellis(t) in Yorkshire England 18 Mar 1848. The arrived in Ontario Canada with two sons Robert and Abraham sometime between 1850 and 1852. The marriage registation listed William's residence as Gristhorpe in the District of Yorkshire, profession labourer, father's name John also labourer. I am looking for William's parents and siblings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello - It looks like William Barker and Sarah were living in Muston, Scarborough in 1851 (Gristhorpe close by). He was 30 and a farm labourer and she was 23. They had a son Robert aged 2 and a visitor called Ann Blackburn (may be Sarah's married sister as she was born in same place). It seems they married in 1848 in Scarborough. William is shown as being born in Gisthorpe so it looks correct. In 1841 he and (sister?) Priscilla both aged 20 are working as servants for a family named Foster in Muston. Unfortunately no information about William's parents there but hope this helps.
