Looking for birth mother of my great-grandfather, George A. Wemple

I am looking for the birth mother of George A. Wemple, born 2-17-1864, possibly in Michigan. George was adopted at one day old by Nicholas Wemple (1829 – 1905) and his wife, Mary Robbins (1836 – 1916). He married Lily (Lillie) Glynn in Michigan in 1884. They lived in Dansville, Michigan.
I am trying to create an accurate family tree, but need this information to do so. Some family members think he was a Dakin. I have done several DNA tests for general information, and am curious about possible relatives on George's biological side.
