If it helps Robert was in St Helier in the 1841 UK census, aged 35, he was married to Elizabeth who states age as 25 so he came from Canada prior to 1841

Thank you, i have found this a lot with different census's, their ages don't go up and down by 10 years , somehow they lose a couple of years somewhere, much like the mother not being mentioned on birth certificates only the father !!.
