My family is the Clardys. They are first found in Virginia. Nathaniel Clardy born cal. 1805 and was married to Rebecca Minor cal 1824. Rebecca was the daughter of William Minor and Sarah Jane New, They were the parents of 7 children and then they move from Virginia to Tennessee where they had three more children. This is where my line started Nathaniel's son Daniel N.D.Clardy born ca 1825. Daniel married Mary Jane Mullins. They had 12 children and their son John Lawson Clardy born 1872 was my gr-grandfather. John married Ella Mae Wallace and they had two sons. Lum D Clardy (my grandfather) and Hugh Clardy. Lum had 9 Children and was married to Bonnie Joe Hawkins.
John Lawson died sometime between 1900 and 1908 in Tennessee. I cannot fine any records of his death or where he might be buried. Ella his wife re-married in 1915 to Joseph W. Anderson. Lum my grandfather was living in Athens Alabma when he died. Any information on these lines would be a blessing.
