Looking for Clark of Georgia/South Carolina

Query by Lblalock1

I am looking for any information regarding the Clark Famliy from Liberty County Georgia. I cannot get past the James Clark who may have born February 11, 1788 but I do not think he was born in Georgia, possibly South Carolina. He and his wife Ann Horne moved to Georgia around 1813 to Long County (formerly McIntosh County). They were married in Beaufort, South Carolina. They moved to Bryan County, GA around 1821 and then to Libery County in 1838 where he purchase several parcels of land. He served in the War of 1812 for a brief period of time. Signed on at Beard's Bluff on the Altamaha River and was discharged in Riceboro, GA.

He had a son named James Benjamin Clark who was born in Bryan County Ga 1828 who had a son named James Clark born 1861. He had a son named Benjamin Hudson Clark who was born 1892 who had a son named James Benjamin Clark born 1922. Benjamin Hudson Clark and his son James Benjamin Clark were born in Fleming, Liberty County, GA.

Thanks,
Linda

Thank you for this information. Where did you find it? I had heard Nicholas Clark may be James Clark's father but I could not find any documentation.

I am also looking for info on the William Clark family. He had a son, Hartridge Julian Clark in 1860. He is my gg-grandfather.

This is one of the few mentions, I have found

Also looking for this Clark Family. Haven't gotten past James Clark 1788. Unable to find definitive evidence of Nicholas Clark as father and Elizabeth as mother. Any help?
