Looking for decendants of Joseph Senior and Margaret Allison C1842

Query by jamessenior

Joseph Senior emigrated from England to New Zealand on the Westminster in Dec. 1842 arriving in Auckland in March 1843. He married Margaret Allison and I believe they lived in Auckland and in the Coromandel area. Oldest son was James Joseph Senior born 08.04.1848. James Joseph Senior married Maryanne Willets. Oldest son was James Percival Senior (Snr)born 1874 who married Ellen Gould daughter of John Gould and Mary Hourahau. Their eldest son was James Percival Senior (Jnr) born in 1902 who later married Ethel Brown

I am descended from Joseph Senior and Margaret Allison via their eldest daughter Margaret who married Alexander McMillan in Auckland in 1873. I would very much like to share information about the family.

Hi,

I'm looking for an Annie Senior who married James Hawkins. In the 1870s they lived in Hokitika, New Zealand. Do you know if they are related?

Thanks
Megan

Hi Megan,

No it does not look like it. I can't find Annie in the family tree and the family was basically around Auckland and Thames/Coromandel at that time. I know there have been other Seniors who arrived in the country in the mid 1800s.
