I saw that one and put it aside for later review, Agnes is just plain Agnes no middle name that I'm aware of.

However,

This is the 1900 census with John (son) Agnes as mother

Name: John S Davidson
[Joan Davidson]
Age: 41
Birth Date: Dec 1858
Birthplace: Scotland
Home in 1900: Beat 4, Newton, Mississippi
Race: White
Gender: Male
Immigration Year: 1869
Relation to Head of House: Head
Marital Status: Single
Spouse's Name: Laura Davidson
Father's Birthplace: Scotland
Mother's name: Agnes Davidson
Mother's Birthplace: Scotland
Household Members:
Name Age
John S Davidson 41, head, b1858, Scotland, Druggist, Arrived 1869 Naturalised
Laura Davidson 35, wife, b1865, Mississippi
Sue R Davidson 4, daug, b1895, Mississippi
Agnes Davidson 65, mother, b1835, Scotland, Arrived 1869
John Ivey 17, nephew, b1882 Mississippi (parents Alabama & Scotland)
C L Jackson 20, Boarder

and the details fit, Duncan's Occ on 1880 actually say Pill Cek (Pill Clerk?) and Jno S as Druggist

I had thought that John Ivey could possibly be Jane MacAdam Davidsons son

John Sinclair Davidson married Laura Hendry,

I appreciate your efforts but I'm concentrating on finding Duncan at the moment and death of John Sinclair Davidson Snr as Agnes/Jane A. is a widow in 1880 Census.

Oh Dear!! that last statement didn't come out right. I really appreciate your efforts in finding Duncan in 1880 Census.

I have details of John & Laura and I'm concentrating on finding Duncan, and would love to find details of him later and also John Sinclair Davidson Snr death.
