Looking for family details

Journal by BeeSmith

HI

I am a decendent of Paul Peillon, who was killed in the Brunner Mine Disaster in 1896 and Rose Copper. My Great Grandfather was Paul George Peillon who Married Grace Angel, and my Grandfather was Paul Henry Peillon who married Alfreda Violet Hatch. Paul Henry died young after the 2nd world war after being a POW for about 18 months. My Uncle Paul Michael Peillon never married died last week.

Anyone connected with any branch of the family - I would love to make contact.

Hi Belinda, head over to Kiwi Vintage Bottle Collectors on FB and do a search for info on the Peillon's business history as cordial and soft drink manufacturers. Their stuff is considered highly collectible now.
Just a week ago I was over in the West Coast from Australia and visited Stillwater where Paul Peillon is interred in the mass grave with my great grandma's first husband John Teward, both victims of the Brunner Disaster. If John hadn't died my great grandma wouldn't have remarried and...well, I wouldn't be writing this now. While I was there I also visited Bo Boustridge's studio, he's a friend of a friend and was Fred Boustridge's grandson; Fred acquired the Peillon manufactory in Taylorville from the Peillons.

We're also related to the Peillons via the same great grandma. I think this is just a coincidence rather than living remotely and people marrying in the vicinity.
