looking for family history on the COOKE family
my nans maiden name is patrica cooke and i was just wondering wether we are from either ireland or scotland.
and the picture attached to this entry is hopefully the correct coat of arms.

yes i am also a cook but my part of the family branched off and we dropped the E on the end of the name
pity you don't need the Australian Cooke's I have 90 on my tree plus their spouses and decendants all sourced and dating back to 1811 Middlesex England. Previous to that, thousands of decendants are stumped and two of us just cannot agree. Jan
That family crest you have posted there for COOKE is the English one the Irish Crest was in dark Blue. The English COOK crest was the same as that one but with the horseshoe around the other way on the right. So their good luck wouldn't run out.

My grand-mother was a Cooke; Palma Ellen Cooke she married John Mulholland. They lived in Toowoomba for the most part. Both their families immigrated from Ireland to Australia. If any-one has information please feel free to post me, regards Lorna.
