Looking for family of 3rd Great grandmother Mary (MCGREGOR) HAYNES

I'm looking for information about my 3rd great grandmother, Mary (McGREGOR)HAYNES.
I have no information for her other than who she was married to. John Haynes, and the fact that they were married in 1819.
They were married in Nova Scotia, Canada, most likely in Annapolis County.
If this helps, John was born 3 Jul 1796 in Nova Scotia & died 20 Aug 1879. they had 3 children, Daniel (my 2nd g grandfather) John & Joseph.
If anyone knows about Mary or her family, I would surely love to hear from you. And I'm also willing to share what I have as well.

I know this is probably a long shot but my great grandmother was Mamie Haynes (possibly Mary). She was born in 1862 in Oswego, NY. At an early age...her obit says two, but other reports put it closer to 11 or even 16...she went to Fort Walsh, SK with her uncle JJ English. He was an Indian instructor. His wife was Marie English. We think Marie's maiden name was Chambers. They lived for a period of time in Omemee, ON before going to Fort Walsh, I believe. I have no idea who Mamie's parents were. On one family tree I've seen, that was put together by a member of Mamie's husband's family (Dunne) it is noted that Mamie had sisters Irene and Elizabeth and a brother John. I don't know who made the notation or how they knew of her siblings. Does any of this ring a bell with your Haynes family? Please feel free to email me privately at dje89436@yahoo.com.

Thankyou, but it's unlikely that your great grandmother was the Mary I'm looking for. You said she was born in 1862? My 3rd g grandmother was married in 1819. So I think we can safely say they're not the same people. Thankyou though..

I didn't mean to suggest that your Mary and my Mamie (Mary?) were the same person but I was curious if in your Haynes research you might have come across a family living in New York in the 1860's. I've been looking for Mamie's parents for over 10 years.

Can you give me an info on your great grandfather Haynes? Maybe I could find something easier if I start w/him. I don't recall any of my Haynes family being from NY, but I can certainly look.

I wish I could. I don't know who Mamie's parents were. She was born in 1862 in Oswego, NY according to her death certificate. Her marriage certificate has been lost by the Canadian government. She was married at Fort Walsh, SK in 1877 but they do not have the marriage record and don't know how to locate it. The record has been missing for years as her daughter tried to obtain it in the 1940's. There is a note on a written family tree that indicates that she had sisters Elizabeth and Irene and a brother John. I don't know where this information came from or how accurate it is. She went to live with her uncle and aunt, JJ and Marie English, when she was very young. I don't know what became of her alledged siblings. Any time I see a Haynes and New York reference I'm hopeful that it will lead to some information about her family.

Ok, I thought maybe she was a Haynes by marriage, but it's more apparent now that she was a Haynes by birth...I'll have to look around, but it won't be until later tonight, I got too much stuff to do today.
