I'm looking for the Allan family who settled at Pukete in the Waikato. Per Ellen's marriage certificate, her parents were listed as Alexander Allan, farmer and Mary Allan nee Corbett. They were originally from Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Ellen's burial records of 1933 give her Christian names as "Ellen Ballantyne".
An Obituary in the Evening Post stated that Ellen had been born in Scotland in 1863 and came to NZ as a child.

Can anyone help with more information about her parents and/or siblings?

Since writing this I have discovered Alexander Allan's obituary which stated that the family arrived in New Zealand aboard the sailing vessel "Helenslee" in 1864. Alexander Allan was one of the oldest settlers of Pokeno. He was also at the opening of the Thames Goldfields where he put down the Golden Gate Shaft. He was also one of the original owners of the coal measures at Huntly that were subsequently purchased by the Taupiri Coal Mines. He then pursued farming activities at Te Rapa near Hamilton until retiring to Papakura where he died in 1912.
