Looking for Farmer of NC, TN, ARK, and ILL area.

Query by Miriah

Hello Everyone, I would like to find information on the Surname Farmer. I'm related to them through the marriage of a Farmer daughter to a Green. I have been researching for quite a long time and I would love to find information that goes back to Nathan Farmer born in NC. He was married to Mary Polly Garner and so far I find they had two sons, Green and James Wintal Farmer.

I would also love information on Jane "Jennie" Waters. Her father was Enoch Waters and her mother was Mary Bird.

If any of you could help me I would be willing to share what I have also. I would appreciate hearing from some of you about this line.

Thank you for your time.
Iris

My great grandfather Absolom Farmer was born in or near Lincolnton, NC probably about 1830-1840.
He and his two bothers John and Caleb joined the Confederate Army on July 4, 1862 in Lincolnton, NC. Absolom was wounded at the battle of Gettysburg and died later of his wounds. He was married to Nancy Plunk or Plunke. She later married a man named Elmore. I am also interested in knowing more about the name "Shuford."
