This family first settled in Minnesota, but moved to Kansas before 1870. Oldest son, Charles, served in Civil War from Minnesota, was discharged in Kentucky and stayed there to marry and raise his family. Other children were Pehr(Peter), John and Emily, who moved to Kansas with parents.
