My grandfather, Frank Bell Mills b 21 Aug 1878, deserted his family in Akron, Ohio, around 1910/11. His wife was Leila Rebecca Carnahan; his sons were my father, James Burdelle "Burt" (1901 - 1990) and Frederic Carnahan Mills (1907 - 1951). I have searched census records, prison records in Ohio, had the Social Security records searched and contacted electrical engineering societies as he had an apparently thriving business as an electrician or electrical engineer. (His brother-in-law worked with Charles Steinmetz and became president of Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, so he had a very real connection with electrical engineering.) Any suggestions, tips or, of course, identification, greatly appreciated.

Amazingly, I found Frank Mills in Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. He Married Georgia (Georgianna) Hutchinson there in September 1912. Unfortunately, that is all. She is in the 1920 census in Franklin Co., Ohio, with her three (3) children, May b ca 1915, Gladys b ca 1916 and Robert b ca 1918. According to the census, she is divorced, and in April 1920 she married Fred Diebert, Jr. He died in 1924 and I have not been able to find any sign of any of them after that year.
