Iam from South Africa. Looking for George Washington GOETHALS orginally called GOEDHALS.

Is well known as he built the Panama Canal. I want to trace his Father and brothers. I think one of his brothers came to South Africa and that is my paternal line of descent.

Perhaps someone out there can help me please??
