I have not come across the name at Chew Magna but it is common in the Long Ashton area. I am half way through photographing the gravestone monuments in the local church for www.gravestonephotos.com
so I will let you know if I find any Goulstones. I have completed the Methodist graveyard but nothing there. What sort of dates are we looking at?

Thanks Richard, any variations on the Surname welcome as it varies all around that area, Chew, Chew Magna, Wrington, Saltford, Long AShton, Broadfield and the tythings.
I have some photos of some stones (supplied by relatives visiting the area) but the stones are deteriorating rapidly through neglect and some are stacked against a wall, any new stuff welcome. I have records of Goulstone's or Golston etc back to 1460ad in that area.
This is long distance research as I live in New Zealand.
Again many thanks for replying

There is nothing at Chew Stoke parish church or the Methodist Church. I have yet to visit Wrington and Long Ashton.
I have about 10 other graveyards in the area to index.
