Looking for Hannah Van Hoose, (Vanhoose) or Van Hoosen.
My great grandfather Orimall (or Orimill, Ormel misspelled many times) Gibbs, b 10 Feb 1812, had written a letter to Joshua Van Hoosen of Avon Twnshp, Oakland Co. Michigan addressed "Dear Cousin". This letter is in a Civil War Military collection in Bentley Historical Library of University of Michigan,Van Hoosen, Joshua b 1830.
Other information is that Orimall Gibbs Sr. was married to a Hannah Van Hoose in Canada and were parents to Caroline Gibbs and Orrimel Gibbs Jr. b 10 Feb 1812 or 1814.
LDS records are closed about the Van Hoosens.
Would like to know the parents, and birth date and death of Hannah Van Hoose, and any brothers or sisters.

I have read the books written by two Van Hoosen girls.."Petticoat Surgeon" written by Bertha Van Hoosen the daughter of Joshua and Sarah Taylor and "Chronicle of Van Hoosen Centenary Farm", (1969) by Sarah Van Hoosen Jones, the granddaughter of Alice Van Hoosen Jones and Joseph C. Jones. I also visited the Van Hoosen Farm, the location of The Rochester Hills Museum. There is a sewing machine that was donated by a Gibbs in that museum. My great grandfather Oremel and a is buried
According to 1860 US Federal Census records,Twnshp of Avon, County of Oakland, Michigan, Dwelling house number 111, a Van Hoosen family is listed,(can't decipher the first name, but it looks like Orramid age 25, Elise age 28 and family, and Dwelling house number 119, is Orrimill Gibbs, Azubah, and other members of the family including 9 yr. old Charles F. (my grandfather.)Dwelling house number 120 is Daniel B. Taylor age 53 and Charlotte H.age 42.
Charlotte H. Taylor and Elizabeth Vanhoosen signed as witnesses for the widow's pension application of my Great Grandmother Azubah when she applied for it after her husband Orrimel died in 1865. The application date was 26 June 1868.
The area of the Van Hoosen Farm was also known as Stoney Creek, and my Great Grandfather Orimall Gibbs also lived and died there, after serving and became ill during the Civil war. My Grandfather Charles F. Gibbs b 10 Feb 1814 (or 1812) in Vermont, also lived in Stony Creek after returning from the Civil War, and he later homesteaded in Montmorency County of Northern Michigan.
I have been doing research on the Gibbs family for several years, following up what my older sister Viola Flack started. I have not been able to find anything more about Hannah Vanhoose who married Orimall Gibbs Sr. b 13 Oct 1786 in Hebron, Washington Co. NY. This was researched by David C. Gibbs who found a church record in St.Armand, Missisquoi, Quebec Canada, son of Joshua and Anna Gibbs, who shared the info with me.
Info was also provided by Donna/Judd Bacon who said Orimall and Hannah VanHoose Gibbs were parents of their gggm Caroline Gibbs. It has been noted that there is a 9 year spread between the births of Oramill Jr. (my great grandfather) and Caroline, who married a Nathan Choate 12 Dec 12 1836, in Dorchester Ont. Canada and then they moved to Kiddville, Ionia Co. Michigan.
Dorchester, Oxford County Ontario Canada is also where Malinda Van Hoose(n) (wife of the elder Joshua Van Hoosen Sr. b in Holland in 1794) visited her parents, her maiden name being Hunter and a "Yankee" born in Massachusetts or Vermont. The Hunter family later moved to Ontario Canada. Joshua and Malinda possibly were married in Dorchester, and settled in Oxford Co. Ontario Canada and in 1837 "took up their abode in Oakland Co. Michigan"
HANNAH JANE VAN HOOSEN B 16 Sept 1833 is not the Hannah that I am looking for.
In my research, I found other Hannah Van Hoosens, but they did not seem to connect with the one I am searching for. My Hannah would perhaps be in the age range born about 1786 more or less, if my great grandfather Orimall was born in 1786. And there is no mention of a Gibbs in the info provided by edmondsallan. Thanks anyway.
