I am researching the family of Herndon of South Miami, Florida. Horace Herndon was born abt. 1927. His mother died when he was young. He is the half brother of my father. My father stated his brother died in a battle in the pacific during WWII--have not found anything to substantiate this at this point. Horace's mother was Lantie Hall (died 1931, South Miami) from Taylor, County, FLorida. His father is listed as J. S. Herndon. I would love to hear if someone is familiar with this family.
