Wow!I am impressed with your detective skills, and I Love your on line name.Thank you for taking the time to assist which you also did recently with an inquiry for Richards. The above named according to his Military record which is difficult to read states he had an earlier marriage in 1805 to Catherine Maria in Ireland. Unfortunately I cant decipher her surname. They had 3 children Duncan 29 Aug 1806,Thomas 1807,and Adam 29 Nov 1814.Duncan and Adam baptised in England and Thomas in Ireland. Can you advise me how best to proceed,The information you have already supplied ties in with family knowledge as Duncan was my G-G-Grandfather and followed into the Army I have a medal awarded to him from the Maori uprising in NZ in the 1860"s. OK a Catherine Maria Campbell died St Pancras, London, 1837 Q4 1 264, so Charles did not wait very long to marry Elizabeth
I Cannot find any baptisms for the sons you named
I do not have access to Irish records but you could try the following site: you will have to pay to do the research, I have never really used it as I have not yet found any Irish ancestry.

If you order a copy of his marriage certificate to Elizabeth ref 1837 Q4 5 318 in theory it should give you the name and occupation of both father's. You can order the certificate from the following site, Registration is free and each certificate cost's less than 10 pounds sterling

Thanks for the advice I have a lot to go on now. You may be interested to learn medals awarded to Charles were sold by auction in December 2009 and raised 21600 pounds sterling. It seems he was quite a character.
Check out this site, it gives quite a lot of information on him, birth and death dates plus his army service. Very interesting
