Looking For Info on Cornelius James Holton of Georgia

Query by songbird123

I am searching for info on my Grandfather Cornelius James Holton. I have info that he was born in 1855 and was from Georgia. I found him on the 1870 census in Augusta Ward 4, Richmond, Georgia, and his Mother's name is Ann and he had a sister Josaphine. He and Josaphine worked in the cotton plant in the Augusta area. He married my Grandmother Dollie Moore Walton in 1895 in Pine Bluff, Jefferson County, Arkansas. They had 3 children Anna born 1896, Athenese and Aaron (twins)in 1897. Athenese died as an infant. The children were born in Logansport, Louisiana. I remember seeing a portrait of him in my parents home back in the early 1960's. He was a very handsome man. My Dad has no recollection of his Dad, as he supposedly died of typhoid fever. In the 1900 Federal Census he was gone from the picture and my Grandmother was a widow. My Dad told me that Cornelius worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad and died in Mineral Well, Texas. He was suppose to be a member of the Woodsmen of America organization. This is all I know. I would love to hear from anyone who might be able to help me with this search if possible. I have searched all the cemeteries in the Mineral Wells area and no luck.
