songbird62 on 2014-09-14 11:19:40Hello, I am a descendant of Carl/Charles, Langenbach born 1863. I can't help you much, but I
have found a Carl Langenbach born 1863 father Jacob, who was on a passenger list and listed as being from Lahr Germany (Near Ofenburg north of Rastatt Baden). His brother Thomas Louis moved to New York in 1900 though I am not sure how long he stayed or if he stayed. it was on a Census (1900). Carl Moved to New York and later Conn. where some of my ancestors were born, then just before his death in 1910 he moved to Pittsfield Mass due to TB, (reccomend by his Doc) and that is where his descendants were born. (including me in 1962).
