Not a lot of information around about this particular Clarkson in W.A.
Yes, he was tried at the York Assizes on the 9 July 1860 and received 15 years for shooting and wounding with intent. The Lincelles departed Portland on the 5 October 1861 and arrived at Fremantle, on Tuesday the 28 January 1862. Master: Edwin Gooch and the Surgeon was Dr. William Crawford, carrying 304 male convicts.
Benjamin CLARKSON died in 1897 aged 79, and that's the extent of my knowledge about this man.
