Johann Gottlieb Stirm was born in Vergenberg, Germany on January 02, 1840 and married Louisa Fredericha Scheib. They had six children: May, Inez, Caroline (Carrie), Carl, Pauline and Henry. Johann came to the US and settled in Iowa. Any information would be appreciated.

I have information per the Kaiser book, that Johann Gottlieb Stirm was born January 02, 1840 in Vergenberg, Germany. Is this the town tha he was born in by your records? This is what Carrie had written down for the Kaiser history book. I would love to see that record if you are willing to share.
Have you spoken with any of the Stirms from the Independence area yet? I work with a Kay Stirm who was married to Larry Norman Stirm, who is the son of Ralph and Doreen Cook Stirm from Independence, Iowa.
I would love to share information with you but I have to warn you I don't have a lot of information as I am trying to get the Kaiser book updated right now and have no concentrated on the Stirm side. One day I hope to.
