Looking for information on Thomas BOWYER

Query by berrima

Thomas BOWYER arrived in Sth. Australia on the Norman, with his wife and family, in 1855.
Wanting to know more about his whereabouts before he shifted to Yankalilla, Sth. Australia.

I have some information on the family and decendants from Yankalilla, and am willing to share what I have.
Happy hunting to all.
Berrima.

Hello
I am updating the book I wrote in 1995 The Stradishall Bowyers-500 Years with thoughts of reprinting within the next year. It already includes many of the Yankalilla Bowyers and hundreds of others from SA, tracing the family back to William & Maude Bowyer b. c 1500 in the Withersfield / Stradishall part of Suffolk. I would be glad to get any info you may have.
(I was in contact with Jennifer Bell and Richard Bowyer over the past 20 years).

Thankyou bb,
I am looking forward to buying your book when it is finished.
In the meantime I shall send you what I have, and hopefully that
will also help you.
Berrima.

(Brendan? Did I remember it correctly?) I'd also like to go on your list to purchase the book - I had intended to years ago but never actually did it.I'll have to make a project of getting the family information up to date for you.

Berrima, I am a descendant of both the Roads and Bowyer families of Yankalilla. I have just purchased "To Find the Way" which is a general history of the area with many biographies. There are many references to both the Bowyer and Roads families but the Bowyer information is a bit scanty. I also purchased "Roads across the Ocean" many years ago so I have that at my fingertips too.

Very happy to make/renew contact with both of you and I am sure we have plenty to share.

Jennifer (Bell)
