Looking for information regarding John Keith b.1816 Thurso, Caithness, Scotland

I am looking for information regarding My 3rd Great grandfather John Keith's Parents.
John Keith
was born in 1816 to William Keith (Sailor) and Mother Elizabeth (Betsy) Miller in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland.
John came to Australia with his wife, Margaret Beattie sometime before 1951 and had one son named Joseph. They had another son who was born and died in Scotland named William Keith.
I have been unable to find any information regarding William Keith and Betsy Miller's Parents, and was hoping that someone might know of a connection on there tree.
William Keith m Betsy Miller on 19 OCT 1815 in Thurso, Caithness, Scotland.

SilverVixen on 2012-12-21 11:41:12You state that John Keith was born 1816 and came to Australia before 1951: this would make him over 100 years old when he sailed. Can you clarify. I have found the following which seems a coincidence, John & Margaret Keith in Thurso but might be useful to you
John & Margaret Keith show up in both the 1841 & 1851 Scottish census in 1851 they are living at 2 Rotterdam Street, Thurso
KEITH, John, head, 37 (1814) a "Tailor employing 7 men" born Olrig, Caith
Margaret, wife, 42 (1809) born Bower
William, son, 9 (1842) Scholar born Dunnet
Isabella, daughter, 7 (1844) Scholar, Dunnet
Julia, daughter, 5 (1846) Scholar, Thurso
Helen, 3 (1848) Scholar, Thurso
In 1861 at Coopers Lane, Thurso
John as above a "Tailor Clothier employing 6 Tailors & 2 shopmen

BoeM on 2012-12-27 09:28:22I have a bad habit of doing family research at 2am in the morning and hence typing the wrong dates in, he came to Australia in 1851. There son Joseph was born in 1852 in Adelaide, Australia. There son William died prior to there arrive in Australia.
Unfortunately I do not think this is my John and Margaret, but thank you for our help!
