My great great grandfather was James Maggs born in MSN in 1797. He married a lady called Elizabeth b 1797c in Shepton Mallet.
In the 1841, they were living in St James's Parade Bath and James was a house painter and plasterer.
They had three children, Hannah b 1827 Bath, my great grandmother, Jane b 1829 Bath and Edwin b 1832 in Bath.
Hannah married James Dallimore in 1852 in Bath. Edwin married Emma Turpin in Bath in 1852 but I can find no record of Jane marrying in Bath.
Elizabeth died in Bath in 1866 and in the 1871 census James has remarried to a lady called Mae from Lyme Regis,
James dies in Bath in Sept 1874.
I have looked on the Somerset Coalfield Connection website but cannot find this particular James Maggs. I know there are a lot of Maggs's from this area so think on may have been ommitted.
Has anyone this particular James Maggs on their tree ?
