Looking for John Donoghue

I am looking for a John Donoghue ( Donaghue ) born approx 1856 in Ireland , he Married a Mary Allen originally from County Clare , daughter of Dennis Allen , she moved to Liverpool at an early age .

They married in 1885 in Our lady of Mount Carmel Church , Toxteth , Liverpool , on the Marriage Certificate it states that Johns Father was a Patrick , then deceased , occupation was a blacksmith also the best man at the Wedding was a Geoffrey Sheridan .

The problem I have, I do not know who johns Mother was or what County he was born.

Can anyone help with any information .

Hey Tony. John Donoghue in Western Australia here. My cousin in Wales is researching his family history and I believe our ancestry goes back to County Clare in Ireland. Apparently my Great Great Grandfather or something like that, went to Liverpool years ago, so it may be the same one you are looking for, although I don't have details or can confirm his name at this stage. I'll need to contact my cousin first. Hopefully, this may help both of us. JD.

Thanks for replying , I hope there is a connection , I have been "hitting a brick wall " trying to find any information on John .

The main problem I have his eldest son Dennis my grand-dad died when my Father Edward was young and unfortunately because of this the information is limited .

If I find any further details I will let you know .
