Looking for KELLY in Louisiana
My father is a descendent of John Thomas Kelly, then his son John Amon Kelly, then his son James Virgil Kelly. I know the names and most of the dates of birth of the children of John Thomas Kelly (he had about 10 siblings). Then John Amon had about 12 or so. I have all their names and again, most of their dates of birth. James Virgil was my father's father, but he died when my father was about 10 or 11, so he was raised more as a sibling than a nephew to the children of John Amon Kelly. I would like to find more information about John Thomas Kelly's predecessors and more information on his siblings.
My father's mother was a Bishop from the same area, but I don't have nearly as much information about her family.

G'day Becky
I was just searching through my papers and I stumbled across the 1920 census I had printed with some of the Eldridge family and on the top of the page would you believe is the entire John A & Dora S Household.

Becky,
I am from Louisiana originally. My mother, Pearl Hughes died last month, April 21. Her father was John Thomas Eldridge and was married to Cora Ann Beulah Kelly. She had a brother Troy who is buried at the little church where you have your family reunions! I took Mama out there, along with her sister-in-law, back in 1982. We had a picnic at the church and visited the cemetery. I don't remember Cora's mother and father's name, but I do remember the name Amon! My name is Betty Hughes and I live in Hendersonville, TN. I would LOVE to be able to come to the reunion! My email address is dancingfatima@aol.com If you would like, please contact me. Kerry is my daughter-in-law in Australia! She sent me an email and told me all about the website.
Hope to hear from you.
Becky, the church I was writing about is Harmony Grove... My mind has started to go, I think. The day we went down to Harmony Grove, we stopped a mailman in his car to ask directions, and he was kin to my mother also. For the life of me, I can't remember his name. I don't know it the town was Sikes or exactly where it was...
