Looking for Lloyd of Australia

Query by jennyhanna

Elizabeth Lloyd was transported from Ireland to Australia 1837 she apparently already had two uncles William and Thomas along with and Aunt Mary in the colony. I believe she originally came from Manchester in England.

hello jennyhanna don,t know what information you had for me ,but as far as I know my Lloyds came from England.Apparently George Lloyd came here from Bristol England and married Mary Singleton in 1840 at Whittingham N.S.W..Mary being the daughter of Benjamin John Singleton the founder of the town of Singleton.N.S.W.I would like to find out more about George.Prehaps you can leave a message on my journal regards Chrismon

Hi Jenny, Sorry about taking so long to answer your message but I clean forgot that I had joined this site subsequently I haven't been back in until today.

Jenny my co helper who resides in Scotland is of the belief that all Stoddarts in Scotland were originally from the border territories and some moved north into Scotland from there. This of course is probably fairly logical but to prove is almost impossible. However we are still of the same belief and we are still contacting all Stoddart researchers and enquiring about their Stoddart heritage. All of our Stoddart line which we now have back to the late 1600's were from Perthshire but not really anywhere else but I would like to know about the Stoddarts that you do have and all relevent info to that if this is OK by you.

Of course I if I find a connection with your family then I will relay that info on to you.

Cheers for now and all the best,

Warren Stoddart
