Looking for LOVE family of Virginia to South Carolina
Looking for a mystery man (my GGG Grandfather) RILEY LOVE. The only information that I have is that he is suppose to have came from Virginia to South Carolina. 1860 Census says he was born in South Carolina, but family members say Virginia. The 1860 Census is the only census that he is found on that I know of. Family members say his father was William from Virginia, but I can't find any William Love that has had a son of that age or name. He was supposedly married in 1857 to HARRIET ANN JACKSON in SC. He fought in the Civil War and died of wounds later in 1868, and is now buried at Catfish Creek Baptist Church.
Facts Confirmed:
*Riley Love married Harriet Ann Jackson (1860 Census)
*Riley Love fought in Civil War (have war record)
*Riley Love attended church at Catfish Baptist Church (have church records)
*Riley Love was born and died (1827-1868) (Tombstone)
Facts Unconfirmed:
*Riley Love was from Virginia or South Carolina. (South Carolina doesn't have any records on Riley Love nor does Virginia.
*Riley Love's father was William from VA. (There are William Love's in Virginia and SC at the time of Riley's birth, but no Riley Love.
*Riley Love may have not been his FIRST NAME, but a middle.
If anyone knows anything beyond this information, even if its just a photo, I'd love to hear from you. This is my Brick wall; hope you can help.

I suggest looking at rootsweb......go under family tree.
There are about four people that have Riley Love in their family tree.
One person put. birth 18 Dec.1827, Monroe, VA died 13 Sept.1868,
Marion Co. SC .....you can email the person and find there source of information.
On familysearch.org for VA you have births 1853-1917, deaths
1853-1912, marriages 1785-1940 for SC deaths 1915-1943, 1944-1955
they also have probate records for that area.
best wishes in your research.
