Looking for more information and birth records of Mary Douglass. Born in Suwannee, FL in 1830. She married Nelson Lamb in 1851 in Ledyard, CT. She had a brother Willim Douglass born in 1824. He was adopted by a family in New Orleans and took the name William Douglass Goldsmith. Moved to California in 1850 and was still there in 1900 at the age of 76.
Interested in who their father and mother were. They died in Flordia durning the Second Semiole Indian War.

Mary Douglass and her brother reportedly were discovered after a Seminole masacre in the village of Suannee Florida and were brought to Mystic by the whaleship captain Morgan. She was married at 36 Pearl St to Nelson Lamb who built many of the houses on Pearl St. Their granddaughter, as I understand it, was Ida Lamb who married my Grandfather. George MOntgomery and they had seven children. Ted, Enoch, Althea (my mother), Evy, Leliah Anna and Rachel.
