My wife's mother Amy McGRATH was born in 1915 in Brunswick, Victoria, Australia.
Her father George Abraham McGRATH was born in Bunniyong, Victoria, in the local goldmines, near Ballarat.
His parents Nathaniel McGrath, born 1838, Antrim, Ireland.
His mother Anne Elizabeth McCARTNE, born 1839, Killead, Ireland.
They married in 1859 in Bunniyong, Victoria.
Nathaniel's parents James McGRATH, born 1815, Pettigo,Ireland.
Mary Jane ABRAHAMS, born 1816, Ireland.
I am looking for James McGRATH, born 1790, in Ireland.
His wife Mary KELM, born 1790, Ireland.

I've just taken up my family tree research again and noticed your journal.
I don't know if this helps but my greatgrandfather was Nathaniel Hood McGrath born about 1805 in Magheralin, Down Ireland married Jane Clark. Maybe a cousin?

I have conflicting information about Nathaniel McGrath b.1838. Antrim, Ireland.(It actually incorporates all this information)
Nathaniel's parents James McGrath was born in 1815 in County Antrim & Mary Jane Abraham was born in 1816 (prob Co. Armargh), and they married in County Armagh in 1837.
The information I have claims James parents names were Nathaniel McGrath & Jane Clark.(Clark is the name given as James's parent's name on the shipping record for James and Mary sailing to Aus).
However obvously the birth date for Nathaniel'Hood' McGrath would not be 1805 if this was the case??
