I am a retired person. I have a son and a daughter who each have a son and a daughter i.e. I have 4 grandchildren. I only started family search in March this year and I am enjoying it very much. Have been amazed at the info I have managed to retrieve. I love animals very much. I live in South Africa which resembles Scotland where I was born and lived for 44 years. Lots of the scenery in SA is similar to Scotland. My husband and I live near Johannesburg. Looking forward to being a part of Family Tree Circles.

Dear amacd, welcome. Go grab a cup of coffee, sit back and try this website link Surname Navigator.

Click on it, and it will take you to one of the most powerful genealogy search engines that I know of.

Type in say, MCINDOE, then click on Ireland for country, then click on search. Now ... don't have a heart attack thinking your computer is going crazy, it's just that more than 10 or so window boxes will open up full of information. Sift through all this and hopefully you will find some gold.
