AniBlair on 2014-10-01 18:02:14My Grandmother on my Dad's side was Ruby McSwain. We have her family tree, and we hail directly from the Isle of Skye, as did many McSwains and others from the Hebridies in the 1700s and 1800s. I find it odd, with all of the confirmed McSwains from Skye in Scotland moving to NC, that I can find no record of a Tartan or other information. Ancestry.com even gives no "Scotland" option on their free search. Do you know why this is?
