Hi, I'm interested to know what part of Scotland?? your Dunbar and Milne families came from, I have a David Dunbar/Alison Milne from Edzell/Menmuir, Angus. At least two of their children came out and settled in NZ, mid 1800's. Could be a connection, at least one family went to Ireland to help during the potato famine.

Hi
the first response I have had since I started this some years ago.
Traces most of my family now the Milne came from Morayshire, Scotland and the Dunbar's from Boharm,Banffshire but ended up in Elgin Morayshire Scotland. David Dunbar married Mary Ann Milne 15 June 1866
he was the son of David Dunbar from Aberdenshire and Janet Mearns
As far as I can see this immediate Dunbar never emigrated just all my Milne and McKay families
