A John William Bell married Margaret Ann WEAN, Tynemouth, Northumberland, 1890, Q4 10B 423

A John W BELL married a Margaret A RIDLEY Tynemouth, Northumberland, 1910 Q4 10B 317

A John W BELL sailed to Australia 25 May 1912 from Liverpool to Melbourne on the ship SUFFOLK. He was a 43 year old married male travelling with Margaret A BELL aged 42, a Geo W Bell aged 19, John Bell aged 10 and Thomas Bell aged 15

In UK 1901 Census living at 96 Myrtle Street, Hurst, Hirst, Northumberland there is this family who seem to fit the bill

Margaret, wife, 31 (1870), born Horton, Northumberland
Geo Wm, son, 8 (1893) Blyth, Northumberland

hi I am not very computer literate let alone my family tree. I would love to know about pops family,he came as achild to australia and i know he lost a few siblings I think maybe he had 2 sisters that passed away in england and a brother in australia he was about 18 months.I beleive the suffolk information sounds right .I do not know how to research uk census for 1901 I found them in 1911 census but would like a family tree to see our past relatives and living

In the 1911 UK census they had been married 20 years so that must be the 1890 marriage of John William Bell to Mary Ann Wean. They have had 5 children 2 of whom have died. There is a Margaret Ann Bell aged 16 who died in Tynemouth, in 1901 Q1 10B 193. This could be 1 of the siblings who died as she is in the 1901 census but not 1911 and did not travel with them

I checked the 1911 census and I found beleive he was a coal miner and was definatly married to margaret ann weir and they also had 3 living and 2 deceased.I am interested in the information you had on john william bell coming to australia that sounds like my family also.I know tnat thomas was a prisoner of war and survived but later passes away in sydney in australia from war related illness
