looking for my great grandfather whose last name was matlack suspected B-Day was 1834, from Phila, Pa.
His wife was Mary Anna Matlack (Van Horn or VanHorn), daughter of John Van horn and Anna(white)both from NJ.Mary Anna was born in Trenton, NJ.
My great grandfather 1st name was Robert and what little I've found shows his 1st name as either Rob, Robt or Robert and in one case, Gus. Possibly a nickname or error.
They had two sons, Harry Van Horn Matlack, born 2/27/1881 and died 7/21/1946 in Phila, Pa and William Henry Matlack, born 3/3/1887 and died 11/1/1969, William lived in Phila, Pa and moved to South Jersey, Palmyra.
Henry William had five (5) sons, John Robert Matlack born 8/11/1920, William Henry Matlack Jr born 8/14/1921, Raymond Henry Matlack born 1/31/1925 and Thomas Kenneth Matlack born 10/26/1935.
Raymond was killed in Germany during WWII.
There was a Richard Henry Matlack who died the day after being born due to an accident to his mother, Emma Julie matlack.
Any info on the spouses of John, William Jr and Thomas would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I can find very little on John including when and where her passed. I suspect he moved out of the area once his parents moved to Palmyra, NJ but I can't find anything on where he relocated to.
Additionally, any info on their children would be helpful as I'm attempting to make contact.
Many thanks,
