Hi, I have it a brick wall researching my great grand father Thomas Ormsby & his immediate family. I believe my Ormsby line originated in Co. Cork & they may have all been Roman Catholics. I would like to know where to look up official birth & marriage documents in Co. Cork.

What I have found so far is that he was born about 1803 in Co. Cork or West Meath & married Winifred (Winnie) Hughes or Hughs.

They had 4 daughters who were born in Ireland:

Mary Ellen Ormsby born about 1850 also possibly in Co. Cork IR.
Died 1879 in Indiana and is buried in St. Patrick?s Cemetery, Oxford, IN.
She was married to Edward/Edmund Tolen on Nov 05 1872.
Mr. E. Tolen was born Aug 10 1838 in County Cork, Ireland, died Mar 18 1929 & is buried in Clara?s Cemetery, Clara City, MN.
Virginia Ormsby married a Mr. Ferguson.
Bridget I, Ormsby born 1843 & married a Mr. Dave Sullivan on Aug 23 1871.

They had 2 sons born in Benton CO. IN, USA.
They had two sons born in the USA:
George Edward Ormsby (my grandfather) was born Aug 22 1851 in Lafayette IN USA died Jun 19 1940 in Kokomo IN USA & married a Bridget Smith
