Looking for Nathaniel Burdick of Southern tier NY

Query by BudBurdick

Nathaniel Burdick, who would be my gr gr grandfather, would have been born circa 1800. Family legend has it that he was maried to a full blooded Native American, (Margaret Patterson ?) . Also, from the biase existing during that day, it has been suggested that anyone marrying an Indian was disowned from the family. Could that be why I cannot find referenc to the parents of his son, Nathan, My gr grandfather. I estimate Nathaniels birth by records that Nathan was born in 1827, in Frewsburg, NY and that he (Nathan) was listed in the 1850 census in Frewsburg as age 26. with a brother ? Joshua at age 21, and a Philena (mother ?) age 47.
Some married names found in my search (female descendants ) are Southworth, Siggins, Henry, Mowell.
If any of these descendants can furnish more clues, I would appreciate hearing from them.

PS - Nathan fought in the Civil War, had 10 children, and is buried in W.Hickory, Pa.
Much of his life and his family's was spent in Forest County, Pa, and in the lumber business.
