Looking for new Meador researchers

Query by Meadowlark51

Our Meador line goes back to Joel and Susannah (Clark). Joel was born 1725 in Virginia, settling his family on Indian Run Creek in the Bedford/Franklin area. Our direct ancestor is his first son, Jesse, born 1750. Some of Joel's children moved on to the connecting counties of Allen in Ky and Sunmer/Macon in Tenn. My husband's grandfather Henry Steven Meador moved the family to Florida between 1925 and 1930.

Have a LOT of research, back to England, and up to the present. Also have a myfamily.com website called Meadortrails, where there is history, trees, and lots of pictures for those who are researching this family. Ask for an invitation.

Hello Meadowlard51. I just began my research on the Meador(s) family. My line came from Joel's 4th son, Isham, born in Bedford Co. VA in 1760. His son, Pleasant, married Linnea Shaw. They had a son, Joel, who married Annie Jent, possibly from Smith Co. TN. Their son, Hiram was born in 1852 and married Sally Ann McClard, who was from TN. Their son, William Thompson, married Nancy Stinson. Records state they were both from Allen Co. KY. My father, Ottis Glyn was born in Allen Co. KY in 1922. I would love to visit your web site.

Sorry it took me so long to get back here..I would be happy to send you an invitation to Meadortrails, when I close this e-mail.
My husband's great-great-grandmother was also a Nancy Stinson, but was born and died before your came along (1823-1874). She married
Gideon Meador, grandson of Jesse, Isham's brother. We have MANY members on Meadortrails who stem from the Joel and Susannah (Clark) line- and quite a few from Isham.

Hello,
I have been researching Meador in Middle Tennesse. I would like an invitation to Meadortrails if possible.

My ancestors were Isham Meador (1762 VA) and Obedience (Biddy) Bradshaw Meador.

Thank you in advance for the invitation.

Kindest best regards,

Susannah Meador, daughter of Joel and Susannah. married William Martin 8 December 1782, Bedford Co VA. William and his family moved to Floyd Co, KY about 1806. I am trying to find out about the family origins prior to its arrival in KY. According to my count, they had nine children, all but the last born in "VA." Thanks for your help. Robert Morris
