Looking for parents of & birth in 1819, Sydney NSW of William Adam Liddle
I can't find the birth of William Adam Liddle in Sydney NSW in 1819. He married Ann Elizabeth Harding in Newcastle in 1844.
They must have then moved to St Arnaud Victoria. I assume following the golrush.
They had four children, Jessie(1845), Jane (1847) (my connection), Mary (1849) & Jennet (1850).
Jane Liddle married John Johnson in St Arnaud in 1864 & went on to have 13 children (three died in infancy).
Any information or ideas to try would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jame

Do you know where and when Adam Liddle / William Adam Liddle died.
Hi there & thanks.
On a copy of the marriage certificate of his daughter Jane Liddle to John Johnson he is named as William Adam Liddle. I can find no other references to William Adam so I think he went by the name Adam.
I am wondering if he lied about where he was born? I will check you information about the arrival on the Brigand - dates fit.
I can't find any information about his death.
The last information I have is that he married again in in 1871 in NSW to Frances Hampton (nee Drew).
I will keep muddling through - putting the pieces together is the joy of family history.
